Cristina Perez Gonzalez

Cristina Perez Gonzalez is the founder of Perez Gonzalez, A Professional Law Corporation and for over a decade has provided effective professional counsel in areas of Immigration and Nationality law to her clients.

Cristina practice primarily focuses in assisting foreign professionals in the technology, business, investment, athletic and entertainment fields, in non-immigrant and immigrant visas, labor certifications, family petitions, and naturalization.  Her clientele includes professional athletes, entertainers, business and corporate executives.  Cristina is bilingual in Spanish.

Cristina received her Juris Doctor from Whittier Law School in Los Angeles, California, and received two Bachelors of Arts degrees from the University of California, Los Angeles, California.

While in law school, Cristina served on the Whittier Law Moot Court Honors Board and as President of the Student Bar Association.  She studied International Law in Madrid, Spain at the College of William & Mary School of Law, Colegio Mayor Universitario San Pablo.

Prior to opening the Firm, Cristina was the Senior Associate with Humberto R. Gray, A Professional Law Corporation, a distinguished immigration Firm in Los Angeles, California.  With a rapidly growing practice, Cristina found it necessary to expand her practice to more efficiently meet the growing needs of her clientele. 

In the legal community, she is an active member and leader of several legal organizations. Cristina is an active member and leader of the American Immigration Lawyer's Association (AILA) where she currently serves as a Member of the Board of Governors for the national organization and served as the Chair of AILA Southern California Chapter from 2001-2002.  AILA is the foremost national legal association in the immigration field.

Cristina is also active with the Mexican American Bar Association (MABA). MABA is one of the largest and most prominent Latino bar associations in the nation.  In addition, to being pacesetters in their respective fields of law, MABA members maintain prominent roles in local government and in all media avenues such as radio, television and journalistic mediums. Founded in 1959, the association has become an organization committed to helping the Latino community. MABA members include over 1000 attorneys, judges, politicians, and business people of various ethnic backgrounds. MABA’s mission is founded on the commitment to the advancement of Latinos in the Legal Profession and the empowerment of the Latino Community through service and advocacy. Cristina served as the organization’s President from 2002-2003.

In addition, Cristina chaired the MABA Immigration Committee from 1996-1999. Under her leadership, the MABA Immigration Committee has become a leading organization within the immigration arena in serving as a liaison between the federal government and the local communities. Cristina is also an active participator in MABA’s Pro-Bono Representation Committee providing free legal advice to those under deportation proceedings.

Moreover, Cristina is a leader in the Latino community and is committed to community awareness. She is an active participant in local affairs, educating people on obtaining permanent residence and citizenship in the United States. Cristina works closely with several of the non-profit organizations in the community as well as with local Latin American Consulate offices serving as a guest lecturer and speaker in seminars concentrating on Immigration Law. 

In addition, Cristina frequently lectures at seminars sponsored by professional associations and law schools.  She is featured on local radio and television regarding current immigration issues and serves as a monthly Immigration Attorney Co-Host on RADIO UNIVISION on KTNQ, 1020 AM, “Inmigracion Preguntas y Respuestas.”

Cristina is also the Judge Host on “La Corte De Familia,” a television court show that aired worldwide on the Telemundo Network (NBC, Inc.).
